The announcement by the government on Thu 9th July that business such as chi yu can reopen on 13th July is great news. However, this is very short notice and so we may not be fully open on that date as we will need time to implement the measures required to ensure the best safety during treatments and train staff. Therefore, during the reopening phase, which is expected to last 2-3 weeks from Mon 13th July, booking slots will be limited and opening and closing hours will be modified. It should be noted that not all of our treatments are yet allowed, such as facials, but as far as we understand most of the other treatments, especially massage, is allowed from 13th July.
In the last 2-3 weeks we have been working hard preparing chi yu for it’s reopening. Walls in treatment rooms have been repainted, all surfaces, including the floor, and equipment have been deep cleaned and essential PPE for clients and therapists have been sourced. We are adjusting to the “new normal” as best and safely as possible.
We will post again with more details about the new normal at chi yu but expect at least the following: questionnaire before bookings, temperature check on arrival, fewer booking slots per day (because of extra time between treatments), therapists wearing PPE, clients may also need to wear PPE, and more contact details may be needed to aid test and trace guidelines.
We look forward to seeing soon, Wishing you good health and well-being.
